Press Release: Vida Continues to Serve Women, Men and Families with Free Medical Care, Support Services

The decision by the U.S. Supreme Court in Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization was monumental. However, the need for Vida’s services is no more or less relevant today. Vida will continue to provide compassionate, inclusive, and free medical care and support services, regardless of the legality of abortion.

We affirm the dignity of every man, woman, and child we serve. They are all worthy of love and welcome in our community. We are here to wrap them in compassionate care and help them overcome whatever obstacles they may be facing,” Vida Executive Director Anne Tretinyak J.D. said.

Vida Medical Clinic and Support Services, located in Appleton, provides free medical and support services to thousands of individuals who are facing an unexpected pregnancy, reproductive loss, parenting under challenging circumstances, or have sexual health concerns. All Vida services are provided confidentially and free of charge to patients and clients. In the last year alone, Vida served individuals from more than 60 different Wisconsin communities.

Medical clinic services provided at Vida include pregnancy testing; ultrasound imaging; Pap, pelvic and breast exams; STD testing and treatment for men and women; and abortion pill reversal. Support services at Vida include pregnancy and parenting education and one-on-one mentoring for parents; material support through an onsite boutique with diapers, clothes, baby items, and more; and community outreach including sexual risk avoidance presentations in public and private schools.

Through our free programs, services, and community partnerships, we educate, equip, and empower individuals to make healthy, life affirming decisions. Pregnancy help centers exist to love and serve parents, present and future. Their children are the beneficiaries of our support,” Tretinyak said.
