Ann Priest, APNP, Joins Vida Medical Clinic Team

Vida Medical Clinic and Support Services welcomes Ann Priest, APNP, the Vida medical team.

Located in Appleton, Vida provides free medical and support services to hundreds of women, men, and families every year who are facing an unexpected pregnancy, reproductive loss, parenting under challenging circumstances, or have other sexual health medical needs. Medical clinic services at Vida include free pregnancy testing; ultrasound imaging; Pap, pelvic and breast exams; STD testing and treatment for men and women; lactation consultation; referrals for prenatal care; and abortion pill reversal.

Priest will work closely with the licensed medical staff at Vida, including Medical Director Alice Boshoven, MD, and Nurse Manager Heidi Weiland, RN, and a team of registered nurses.

“Vida welcomes Ann Priest to our team and organization. The nursing staff is excited to continue patient care under her guidance with compassion and excellence. With expanded nurse practitioner hours and accessibility, we hope to offer more medical services to patients in 2023,” Weiland said.

Priest also currently works for an internal medicine practice in the Advocate Aurora Health system, and prior to joining Vida, she worked as a nurse practitioner in family practice clinics the Fox Valley and central Wisconsin. She earned her master’s degree in nursing from Concordia University and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Marian University.

“I am so pleased to begin my journey with Vida. The personal values and Christian principles melds with my walk with Christ and personal core values. I look forward to the growth, relationships, and ministry through Vida and all who are involved,” Priest said.

All Vida services are free and confidential for patients, and Vida is a member of the Wisconsin Association of Free and Charitable Clinics. In the last year alone, Vida served individuals from more than 60 different Wisconsin communities.

In addition to free medical clinic services, Vida also offers free support services including pregnancy education and parenting education and one-on-one mentoring for parents; material support through an onsite boutique with diapers, clothes, baby items, and more; Spanish bilingual services; reproductive loss support; car seat program; and community outreach.

Additionally, Vida has a strong referral network and connections to nonprofit organizations across the Fox Valley and state to assist individuals seeking free medical care or support resources. This comprehensive approach and network of support enables Vida to walk with men, women, and families throughout their pregnancy, parenting, or health journeys.
