Maternity Home
For more than 40 years, Vida has walked with women and families to support them during an unexpected pregnancy and through challenges related to parenting young children. Our free, confidential, and compassionate medical and support services empower women to make life-affirming decisions and grow as healthy women, parents, partners, and members of the community.
In October 2023, Vida expanded its ministry by officially opening Vida Trinity House, the Fox Valley’s first maternity home, which provides free maternity housing and support for women during pregnancy and after giving birth through early childhood years.
Housing has become an increasingly difficult problem for our patients and clients to solve and a barrier to making life-affirming decisions for themselves and their families. Lack of safe housing, unhealthy relationships, limited financial resources, lack of family support, and cycles of poverty, abuse, or addiction can leave women who are unexpectedly pregnant feeling they have no options, support, or hope. Maternity housing profoundly affirms the dignity of mothers and children.
With integrated programming and services through Vida, Trinity House is a place of love, growth, and empowerment. Women grow in recognition of their God-given value; be a part of safe and loving community; participate in life-changing programming that builds life, career, and relational skills; and receive support to improve the trajectory of their lives and the lives of their child(ren).
