House Support Staff serve pregnant and parenting women formerly experiencing homelessness and now housed in a loving, caring environment. House Support Staff assist in all aspects of residential operations and supports delivery of programs and services in the fulfillment of the Vida mission. All work is accomplished in accordance with Vidas Code of Christian Conduct, policies, and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide daytime, overnight and weekend house coverage, including but not limited to: responding to the phone, welcoming visitors, offering tours, assisting residents with move-ins/move-outs, responding to the duty of the moment, and locking the building at night
- Weekday overnight coverage would only be House Support Staff sleeping in Trinity House. Another staff member would be on call but sleeping in staff/intern house.
- House Support Staff- some weekend work required
- Ensure all program policies and procedures are followed and report violations to House Supervisor
- Provide transportation in Vida vehicles for moms and children to and from Vida events and requested appointments
- Work on a team with other Vida staff members
- Respond to emergencies, crises, and conflicts within the home
- Ensure that any threat to safety or contagious, infectious, or serious health issues regarding adult or child residents are reported to the staff member on call immediately.
- Foster a home environment where all who enter feel safe, welcomed, and respected
Qualifications
- All Support Staff employees must be available for all shifts and weekends.
- College Degree or equivalent life experience preferred
- Drivers license preferred
- 21 years of age or older
- Flexibility and adaptability

- Accepting of diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and customs
- Open to growth during challenging situations
- Aligned with Vida Statement of Faith and Christian Code of Conduct
