Vida Community Outreach Nurse Earns Sexual Risk Avoidance Certification

Vida Community Outreach Nurse Alyssa Weiss, RN, recently earned her Sexual Risk Avoidance (SRA) Certification through Ascend.

With this certification, she further demonstrates and distinguishes her professional commitment to teaching expertise in the SRA education field. This comprehensive, professional designation specifically caters to SRA education at the school and community levels. SRA is an approach to sex education based on primary prevention that empowers youth to make healthy choices about sex, relationships, and marriage.

Vida is committed to empowering and educating the next generation about making healthy, life-affirming choices. Through Community Outreach, Vida provides sexual health education programming for schools, youth groups, and organizations across the Fox Valley and northeast Wisconsin. This includes free resources and information to young adults, parents, educators, and other adults.

Vida’s Community Outreach team also includes Coordinator Trina Batley, RN, who is also SRA certified. Together, Alyssa and Trina have more than a combined 35 years of experience in the nursing profession. They enjoy sharing information and engaging students in discussion about planning for healthy, fulfilling futures.
