Vida Earns Gold Rating From The National Association Of Free And Charitable Clinics

Vida Medical Clinic and Support Services has earned a 2024 Gold Rating from the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC) Quality Standards Program.

The mission of NAFC is to build healthy communities for all through quality, equitable and accessible healthcare. The NAFC and its members, including Vida, are dedicated to ensuring that patients receive quality health care. To quantify and qualify the care provided throughout the network, the NAFC formalized a set of Quality Standards for member organizations.

NAFC members voluntarily submit information to the NAFC on the various policies and procedures in place to attain their standards rating and attest that they successfully incorporate these standards within their organization. NAFC Quality Standards elements include policies and procedures related to the following areas: Administrative, Clinic and Pharmacy Responsibilities, Credentialing and Privileging Systems, Patient Care, and Risk Management Systems.

We are excited to earn the Gold Quality Rating from NAFC. Earning this highest rating offered from NAFC reflects the high-quality care and medical services our patients receive at Vida,” Vida Nurse Manager Heidi Weiland, RN, said.

Every year, Vida serves thousands of women, men, and families from across the Fox Valley and Northeast Wisconsin through providing free extensive and high quality medical, mentoring, material, and maternity housing support and services. In the clinic, a team of licensed medical providers and registered nurses provide care including free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STD tests and treatment, well-woman checkups, and abortion pill reversal. Other Vida services include parent mentoring, childbirth classes, breastfeeding classes, post-abortive support, maternal and baby material needs, maternity housing, youth and community health education outreach, and more.

“It is a blessing to provide free medical services in our clinic to the men and women we see every day.” Vida Nurse Practitioner Ann Dettlaff, APNP, said. “We are committed to providing exceptional patient care and earning this gold rating further reflects that we operate our clinic with the best practices and standards of care.”

We are excited to receive this rating highlighting our commitment to providing quality patient care. For more information on the NAFC, please visit www.nafcclinics.org
